Joan Wilkins
Miss Joan has been teaching dance for over twenty years on the North Shore.
She is currently studying at Gene Murray's School of Dance and has attended
Northeastern University. She is CPR certified and has her own business as a CPR
instructor also working as an instructor for Salem Hospital. Miss Joan also runs a
gymnastic program for the City of Peabody and is a Special Olympics coach. She
is a wife and a mother to three beautiful daughters.
Scott Wentzell
Mr. Scott has been dancing for nine years, mainly in the styles of Modern and
Hip Hop. He majored in Art Education with a
minor in dance at Salem State College, and was a Creative and Performing Arts Scholar. He has
also participated in Salem State's Repertory Dance Theatre as a dancer,
choreographer, and as a board member for six years. When not in studio Mr. Scott is
employed at Eastern Bank.
Alessa Haefner
Alessa Haefner has been dancing at Dance Class since the age of three. She
started assisting multiple classes when she was fourteen years old. She has
studied & taught Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Competition teams, Company &
Hip-Hop. She was a member of Dance Class Company performing at many nursing
homes, parades, hospitals. Alessa has competed in several Dance Competitions.
She has been to multiple dance conventions, performed at Disney as well as the
Boston Celtics games. She has taught many wedding parties and bachelorette
parties. Aside from her career as a dance instructor, Alessa is also works as a
Dental Assistant. She is currently advancing her career by attending school to
receive her Dental Hygiene Associates degree. She is engaged to be married in
September of 2010 and has a one year old son Ben.
